About the Position:

As a Strategic Engagement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote our services and engage with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for crafting compelling messages, managing media relations, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure consistent and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

Create and implement strategic communication plans to increase awareness of our center and its services
Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, reporters, and influencers
Write and edit press releases, articles, and other communication materials
Coordinate media coverage and prepare spokespeople for interviews
Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across platforms
Organize and participate in community outreach events
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cancer research and treatment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic communication, media relations, or a similar role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience in healthcare or nonprofit industries is a plus
