Akureyri Community Artisan Collective is seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic team in the Northeastern Region of Iceland. Our organization fosters creativity, collaboration, and community engagement, providing a platform for artisans to thrive and showcase their talents.
Position: Cultural Heritage Ambassador
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Cultural Heritage Ambassador to promote our region's rich artistic tradition and strengthen our connection to the local community. As an Ambassador, you will be responsible for:
- Organizing and coordinating community events, art exhibitions, and workshops
- Engaging with local artists, artisans, and nonprofits to foster collaborations
- Developing and implementing initiatives to preserve and promote cultural heritage
- Creating educational materials and leading guided tours for visitors
- Managing our online presence and social media platforms
Requirements:
- A background in arts, cultural studies, or related fields
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passion for community engagement and fostering artistic expression
- Familiarity with the local arts scene and cultural heritage is preferred
