About Us:
The City of Tampa is currently searching for a passionate individual to join our team as a Community Advocate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and improving our community by implementing positive change.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with community members to identify their needs and concerns
- Act as a liaison between the City of Tampa and various community organizations
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Create and execute community programs and initiatives to address pressing issues
- Organize and facilitate community outreach events, meetings, and workshops
- Advocate for community interests with city officials and local authorities
Requirements:
- Passion for making a positive impact on the community
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse groups of people
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in community engagement or volunteer work
- Familiarity with local government policies and procedures is a plus
