Valle d'Aosta Regional Alpine Educational Center is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to fill the position of Heritage Conservation Specialist. Your Role:

  • Lead and oversee conservation projects to protect and revitalize historical buildings in accordance with regional guidelines.
  • Develop innovative strategies for sustainable preservation and restoration of heritage structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to conservation standards and timelines.
  • Conduct detailed assessments and surveys of heritage sites to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and necessary improvement measures.
  • Advise and educate local communities on best practices for heritage conservation and fostering cultural tourism.
  • Coordinate and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote awareness and knowledge-sharing in the field of architectural heritage.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Architectural Conservation, Cultural Heritage Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in heritage conservation, preferably in the alpine region.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional regulations and best practices for architectural heritage preservation.
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee complex conservation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in architectural software and technical drawing.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
