Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a leading government agency devoted to enhancing the quality and safety of products and services in Kenya. We are currently seeking a skilled, motivated, and culturally diverse individual to join our team as a Building Standards Officer.

Job Description:

Conduct inspections and monitor compliance with building codes and regulations.
Evaluate construction plans, designs, and specifications.
Provide technical advice and guidance on construction-related matters.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to standards.
Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Prepare detailed reports on construction inspections and findings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of national and international building codes and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
