Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a leading government agency devoted to enhancing the quality and safety of products and services in Kenya. We are currently seeking a skilled, motivated, and culturally diverse individual to join our team as a Building Standards Officer.



Job Description:

  • Conduct inspections and monitor compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Evaluate construction plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on construction-related matters.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on construction inspections and findings.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of national and international building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
