Job Description

As an Outdoor Adventure Facilitator, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional outdoor programs and activities. You will be responsible for leading and guiding participants through various adventure-based experiences, such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, and team building exercises. Your work will focus on creating a safe and engaging environment while promoting personal development, leadership skills, and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:

Organize and lead outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and rock climbing
Facilitate team building exercises and workshops
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times
Provide instruction and guidance on outdoor skills and techniques
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants
Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices
Assist in maintaining equipment and facilities
Collaborate with other team members to develop and improve programs

Qualifications:

Passion for the outdoors and outdoor education
Previous experience in outdoor leadership or similar role is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Certifications in first aid, wilderness safety, or related areas are desirable
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Fluency in English; knowledge of Icelandic is a plus
