We at the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Community Engagement Specialist within our dynamic organization. As a core member of our team, you will play a key role in fostering community relationships and driving impactful initiatives that support the growth and well-being of our youth and neighborhoods.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders to support community programs
- Organize and lead community events and workshops to engage youth and families
- Conduct outreach activities to promote awareness of available resources and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective program delivery and impact assessment
- Collect and analyze data to measure community engagement outcomes and inform decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field
- Experience in community outreach, project management, or related roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
