The Missouri Division of Tourism is seeking an Environmental Exploration Specialist to join our dynamic team and help us reveal the stories hidden within Missouri's diverse landscapes.

Role Overview:

Conduct exploratory research to uncover the geological and ecological history of Missouri's natural landmarks.
Collaborate with local communities and organizations to understand the environmental impact of tourism and to propose sustainable strategies.
Lead efforts to develop and maintain interpretive materials to educate visitors on the environmental significance of Missouri's attractions.
Engage in outreach programs to advocate for responsible environmental practices and ecological awareness within the tourism industry.
Support ongoing conservation projects that aim to protect and enhance Missouri's natural resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in field research and data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for environmental stewardship and sustainable tourism.
