The North Carolina Museum of Art is seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Multicultural Development Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise construction and renovation projects to enhance the museum's facilities and public spaces.
  • Manage real estate development initiatives associated with museum expansion and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with architectural firms and construction teams to ensure projects align with the museum's diverse cultural vision.
  • Oversee procurement, negotiation, and execution of contracts relating to facilities development and enhancement.
  • Strategically plan and implement projects in alignment with multicultural initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment for employees and visitors.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of diverse and inclusive public programming and community engagement events.
  • Coordinate with local and state agencies to adhere to regulatory guidelines, ensuring the museum's projects align with multicultural and community outreach objectives.
  • Regularly report on project progress, budget management, and key performance indicators to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven project management experience in culturally diverse environments, ideally within the arts, museum, or public sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading construction and real estate projects with a focus on cultural diversity and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Understanding of local and state regulations related to construction, real estate, and community development.
  • Passion for multicultural development and a commitment to promoting an inclusive environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software, budgeting tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
