Job Description:
As a Wildlife Conservation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting field research, gathering data, and analyzing wildlife populations and habitats in our region. Your work will directly contribute to the development of conservation strategies aimed at protecting endangered species and preserving the ecological balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and research on wildlife populations and habitats.
- Analyze data to assess the health and trends of wildlife species in the region.
- Collaborate with local government agencies and non-profit organizations on conservation initiatives.
- Develop and implement wildlife management and conservation plans.
- Educate and engage with the public on the importance of wildlife conservation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in wildlife research, data analysis, and conservation projects.
- Strong understanding of Icelandic wildlife and ecological systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for wildlife conservation and sustainable environmental practices.
