Position Overview

As an Animal Wellness Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our shelter animals. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing holistic wellness programs, overseeing grooming and hygiene protocols, and collaborating with veterinary professionals to enhance the health of our animals. You will also facilitate adoption events and educational workshops, promoting responsible pet care to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive animal wellness programs focusing on holistic care and grooming.
  • Collaborate with veterinary experts to establish health protocols and ensure the well-being of shelter animals.
  • Organize and execute adoption events, engaging with potential pet parents and facilitating successful adoptions.
  • Lead educational workshops and outreach programs to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
  • Maintain meticulous records of animal health, behavior, and well-being, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to ethical treatment and responsible care of animals.
  • Experience in a related field such as pet grooming, veterinary care, or animal welfare is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders such as volunteers, pet adopters, and veterinary professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks with precision and empathy.
