MeteoSwiss, based in Berne, Switzerland, is seeking a motivated and experienced Climate Communication Specialist to join our team. As a Climate Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in raising awareness about the ever-changing climate and its potential effects on society.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey meteorological and climatological information to diverse audiences.
Create compelling and informative content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and traditional media outlets.
Collaborate with scientific experts to translate complex climate data into accessible and engaging narratives.
Participate in outreach programs, educational initiatives, and public events to foster public understanding of climate-related issues.
Stay updated on the latest climate research and scientific developments to ensure accurate and impactful communication.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, atmospheric science, journalism, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in climate communication, science writing, or environmental journalism.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, audience-appropriate communication materials.
Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
