Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as the Director of Agricultural Advocacy and Outreach. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the soybean industry in Mississippi.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic advocacy initiatives to promote the growth and sustainability of the soybean industry.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including farmers, industry associations, and government agencies, to advocate for policies that support soybean farmers.
Lead outreach programs to educate the public about the benefits of soybeans and their impact on the local economy.
Manage communication efforts, including media relations, social media, and public speaking engagements.
Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance the visibility of the Mississippi soybean industry.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in advocacy, public relations, or government affairs.
Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by soybean farmers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
