We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Strategic Development Associate. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and strategic initiatives of the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union based in Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium.

As a Strategic Development Associate, you will play a crucial role in fostering and managing relationships within the real estate and urban development sectors. You will work closely with key stakeholders and decision-makers to support Italy's interests in connection with urban planning, infrastructure development, and sustainable construction practices.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in urban planning, architecture, or civil engineering. You should be adept at analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities for strategic partnerships that align with Italy's goals within the European Union. Your ability to develop and present innovative proposals to advance Italy's presence in urban development initiatives will be pivotal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant industry professionals, government bodies, and EU representatives to advocate for Italy's strategic interests in urban development and sustainable construction.
  • Conduct research and analysis on urban planning policies, real estate market dynamics, and sustainable construction practices.
  • Participate in the formulation of strategic plans and initiatives to enhance Italy's involvement in urban development and real estate projects at the European level.
  • Engage in ongoing dialogue with Italian agencies, industry partners, and EU institutions to promote collaborative efforts in sustainable urban development.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate Italy's stance on urban development and construction matters within the European Union.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in urban development, real estate, or construction-oriented roles.
  • Strong understanding of EU policies related to urban development and sustainable construction practices.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse and dynamic international environment.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.
