NATO Undersea Research Centre (NURC) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Sustainable Development Specialist. We are committed to fostering sustainability within the Brussels-Capital Region and recognize the essential role of our built environment in achieving these goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable construction practices and environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainable design principles into our construction projects.
- Advise on sustainable building materials and technologies.
- Research and recommend innovative green building strategies.
- Contribute to the development of environmental policies and procedures.
- Engage in community outreach and education initiatives centered around sustainable development.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable development within the construction or real estate industry.
- Familiarity with green building certification programs (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).
- An understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a solutions-focused mindset.
