Are you passionate about preserving Vermont's natural landscapes? Do you have a strong desire to advocate for sustainable land use and contribute to policy development in the beautiful state of Vermont?

Vermont Land Trust is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Conservation Advocate and Policy Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping to preserve the scenic beauty, rural character, and natural areas of Vermont.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading efforts to advocate for land conservation and sustainable land use policies.
Analyzing and researching policy initiatives that impact land conservation and rural development.
Collaborating with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and local communities to further conservation initiatives.
Communicating VLT's mission and policy goals to stakeholders, legislators, and the public.
Contributing to the development of innovative conservation strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

A deep commitment to preserving Vermont's natural environment.
Experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or related fields.
Strong research, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
A degree in environmental policy, law, or a related field is preferred.
