Vermont Land Trust is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Conservation Advocate and Policy Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping to preserve the scenic beauty, rural character, and natural areas of Vermont.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading efforts to advocate for land conservation and sustainable land use policies.
  • Analyzing and researching policy initiatives that impact land conservation and rural development.
  • Collaborating with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and local communities to further conservation initiatives.
  • Communicating VLT's mission and policy goals to stakeholders, legislators, and the public.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative conservation strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • A deep commitment to preserving Vermont's natural environment.
  • Experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or related fields.
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A degree in environmental policy, law, or a related field is preferred.
