Position Overview

The Community Health Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and implementing community health programs, working closely with local communities, health workers, and government officials to ensure effective program delivery. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction to the community health team, ensuring that the programs align with Amref Health Africa’s vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor community health programs
Provide technical guidance and support to community health workers
Coordinate with government health agencies and other stakeholders
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of program impact and effectiveness
Prepare and manage program budgets
Lead capacity building initiatives for local health workers
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Sociology, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in program management within the health sector
Demonstrated experience in community health and development initiatives
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
