Acadian Seaplants Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team in Nova Scotia, Canada in a role aimed at driving innovation and excellence in aerial systems operation and management.


We are looking for a Senior Aerial Systems Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of our aerial systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and implementing best practices for enhanced efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding our capabilities and ensuring safe and effective operations in support of our mission-critical activities.


About the Position:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of our aerial systems operations, including UAVs and other advanced aerial platforms, to support our diverse range of projects.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to optimize aerial systems performance while ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate aerial systems operations into our existing processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of aerial systems professionals, facilitating their growth and development to maintain a high-performing and cohesive team.
  • Contribute to the development of new aerial systems capabilities through research, testing, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aerial systems operation, aviation, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of aviation principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with a proven track record of implementing operational excellence in aerial systems activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in aviation or aerial systems operation will be a strong asset.
