Join our team at the Ligurian Association for Wildlife Rehabilitation, where your expertise in habitat protection and wildlife rehabilitation will play a crucial role in preserving the native wildlife of Liguria, Italy. We are looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Wildlife Rehabilitation and Habitat Protection Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute wildlife rehabilitation efforts in collaboration with local authorities and conservation organizations.
- Develop and implement habitat protection strategies to safeguard native species and their environments.
- Educate and engage local communities in wildlife conservation efforts through outreach programs and public events.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of new approaches in wildlife protection and habitat management.
- Provide guidance and training to volunteers and junior staff members involved in wildlife rehabilitation and habitat protection.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, or habitat protection.
- Strong understanding of local wildlife species, their behaviors, and environmental requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective community engagement and outreach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written.
