Animal Care Specialist
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Karen Blixen Museum. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and care of the wildlife residing within our museum’s grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing effective care plans for the animals within our museum
- Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment activities for the animals
- Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of the animals
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the animal enclosures
- Observe animal behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with wildlife or domestic animals
- Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and basic medical care
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Passion for animal welfare and conservation
- Excellent communication and observational skills
