Position Overview

We are hiring a Sustainable Community Development Specialist to spearhead our efforts in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living practices. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in conducting outreach programs, educational workshops, and community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering a greener environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, energy conservation, and environmental awareness.
Collaborate with local stakeholders, schools, and community groups to organize environmental education programs and workshops.
Evaluate and monitor the impact of sustainability efforts within the community through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.
Contribute to the development of environmentally friendly practices within the library's operations and facilities.
Provide expertise and guidance on geology-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in community development, environmental education, or sustainability projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
