Role Overview: Safaricom is seeking dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join our Advanced Solutions team. As an Advanced Solutions Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in pioneering innovative technologies, conducting deep-dive analysis, and developing cutting-edge solutions to address emerging challenges within telecommunications and digital services.

Responsibilities:

Drive advanced research initiatives, focusing on emerging technologies and trends within the telecommunications industry
Conduct in-depth analysis, simulations, and laboratory experiments to assess the feasibility and potential impact of new solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable insights and viable products
Stay abreast of industry advancements and proactively identify opportunities to enhance Safaricom's product and service offerings
Contribute to the development and execution of long-term strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and technical expertise

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
Proven experience in conducting advanced research, ideally within the telecommunications, data science, or technology sector
Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and experimental design
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) and familiarity with data visualization tools
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a track record of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while demonstrating a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement
