We are seeking talented and committed individuals to join our team in the North West Department of Education. As the Environmental Stewardship Specialist, you will play a crucial role in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices within our educational institutions and rural communities.
Our team fosters a friendly and collaborative atmosphere, dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and the community. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to educate and empower others in the agricultural and rural sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental education programs for schools and rural communities
- Facilitate workshops on agricultural sustainability and conservation practices
- Collaborate with educators and community leaders to integrate environmental awareness into curricula and community initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate environmental initiatives and provide regular progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field
- Proven experience in environmental education, community outreach, or rural development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for sustainable agriculture, conservation, and community engagement
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
