Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is currently seeking an Engagement Specialist with a focus on Social Impact and Policy Communication to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a talented individual to drive impactful communication strategies and develop compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Role Overview:

  • Develop and implement communication plans that align with organizational objectives and government policies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to create engaging content across various platforms, including social media, press releases, and internal communications.
  • Monitor media trends and public sentiment, and adapt communication strategies accordingly to amplify key messages.
  • Collaborate with teams to produce multimedia content such as videos and infographics to effectively convey policy initiatives and social impact stories.
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication activities and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communication strategies within a public sector or social impact organization.
  • Strong understanding of policy communication, social impact, and the ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
