Position Overview: Are you passionate about fostering global understanding through experiential learning? UNITAR is seeking an Excursion Experience Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Geneva. In this role, you will orchestrate and oversee unique educational travel experiences that promote cross-cultural exchange and sustainable tourism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design interactive and educational excursions that align with UNITAR's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to create authentic and engaging travel itineraries.
  • Manage logistical aspects, including transportation, accommodations, and on-the-ground support, to ensure seamless excursion experiences.
  • Lead and guide excursion participants, providing insightful commentary and facilitating meaningful cultural interactions.
  • Evaluate excursion outcomes and implement improvements for future programs based on participant feedback and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in experiential education, sustainable tourism, or cross-cultural exchange programs.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to coordinate complex travel logistics and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • A passion for promoting responsible and ethical travel practices and a commitment to UNITAR's mission of fostering global cooperation and diplomacy.
