Join Our Team: Animal Welfare Specialist
The Normandy Association of Translators is excited to announce an opening for an Animal Welfare Specialist to join our passionate and diverse team. If you have a love for creatures great and small, and a drive to make a positive impact in their lives, we want you to be a part of our mission.
As an Animal Welfare Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the communication and documentation related to animal care and well-being are accurately and empathetically translated. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the lives of animals and their caregivers across diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate and localize documents related to animal health, care, and welfare.
- Collaborate with veterinary professionals, animal shelters, and advocacy groups to ensure accurate and sensitive translations.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials to raise awareness on animal welfare issues.
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights into cultural nuances affecting animal welfare topics.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in at least two languages, with strong proficiency in written and spoken communication.
- Experience or strong interest in animal welfare, veterinary care, or related fields.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and the ability to convey empathy in translations.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Professional translation qualification or equivalent experience is a plus.
