Position: Sustainable Agriculture Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital role in overseeing and implementing sustainable agricultural programs to enhance the self-sufficiency and food security of our center.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage sustainable agriculture projects tailored to the unique needs of visually and hearing impaired children
Conduct research and implement best practices in agricultural methods, organic farming, and permaculture
Train children and staff on sustainable farming techniques
Monitor and evaluate the progress of agriculture projects
Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project success
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required

Requirements:

Relevant academic qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field
Proven experience in sustainable agriculture, preferably in a rural setting
Strong knowledge of organic farming methods and permaculture principles
Passion for working with children with disabilities and a commitment to their well-being
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a part of a diverse team
