Join Our Team: Wildlife Outreach and Conservation Specialist
Mayr-Melnhof Packaging Austria GmbH is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Wildlife Outreach and Conservation Specialist in Salzburg, Austria.
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable professional who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support wildlife conservation efforts in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of animal behavior and ecology, and will have the ability to engage with local communities to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver educational programs focused on wildlife protection and stewardship
- Collaborate with local organizations and government agencies to support conservation initiatives
- Engage with community stakeholders to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and responsible pet ownership
- Conduct research on local wildlife populations and habitats to inform conservation strategies
- Advocate for sustainable practices that benefit both pets and local wildlife
- Develop and maintain partnerships with animal welfare organizations and veterinary professionals
- Stay informed about relevant legislation and policy changes affecting wildlife and pet welfare
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Zoology, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in wildlife conservation, education, or outreach
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Passionate about wildlife and pet welfare with a commitment to conservation
- Fluency in German and English is preferred
