Kenya Forest Service is looking for a dedicated and motivated Conservation Officer to join our team in Nairobi Metropolitan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable forest management and conservation strategies
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and formulate mitigation plans
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote responsible forestry practices
- Monitor and report on forest health and biodiversity
- Enforce forest protection regulations and ensure compliance
- Educate the public on the importance of preserving our natural resources
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
- Proven experience in environmental conservation or natural resource management
- Strong understanding of sustainable forest management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in diverse and challenging field environments
