Kenya Forest Service is looking for a dedicated and motivated Conservation Officer to join our team in Nairobi Metropolitan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable forest management and conservation strategies
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and formulate mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote responsible forestry practices
  • Monitor and report on forest health and biodiversity
  • Enforce forest protection regulations and ensure compliance
  • Educate the public on the importance of preserving our natural resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
  • Proven experience in environmental conservation or natural resource management
  • Strong understanding of sustainable forest management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse and challenging field environments
