Are you passionate about environmental conservation and the well-being of living creatures? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks for an exciting opportunity in our Wildlife Preservation and Ecosystem Management division.

Position: Wildlife Habitat Specialist

Location: Ontario, Canada

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field research and analysis to assess and monitor wildlife habitats.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the sustainable management and protection of wildlife habitats and ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote wildlife conservation and protection initiatives.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on wildlife preservation and habitat restoration projects.
  • Evaluate the impacts of human activities on wildlife habitats and recommend mitigation measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in wildlife habitat conservation, environmental assessment, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of local wildlife species, habitats, and conservation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for promoting biodiversity, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
