Position: Heritage Tourism Specialist
Ajaccio City Hall is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Heritage Tourism Specialist. If you have a strong interest in history, culture, and tourism, and are committed to delivering exceptional visitor experiences, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement heritage tourism initiatives to promote the rich history and cultural heritage of Ajaccio
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify key attractions, landmarks, and historical sites
- Create engaging and informative guided tours for tourists and visitors
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to enhance tourism infrastructure and attractions
- Organize educational events, workshops, and exhibitions to raise awareness about Ajaccio's heritage
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure visitor satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in History, Tourism, or a related field
- Proven experience in tourism, preferably in the heritage sector
- Excellent knowledge of Ajaccio's history and cultural heritage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct research, gather information, and interpret historical data
- Proficiency in multiple languages would be an advantage
