Nidwalden Cantonal Library is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Agricultural Resource Specialist. As a leading public library specializing in agricultural information, we pride ourselves on providing expert resources and services to support the local farming community.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and manage our comprehensive collection of agricultural resources, including books, journals, online databases, and digital materials in multiple formats.
Catalog and organize agricultural materials using our integrated library system.
Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons, supporting their informational needs related to the Agriculture/Rural sector.
Create and conduct training sessions and workshops on agricultural research methodologies and information literacy.
Collaborate with local organizations and experts in the Agriculture/Rural industry to enhance our collection and services.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in agricultural research and information management.
Participate in library outreach activities, including community events, to promote the library's resources and services to the agricultural community.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
Experience in information management or library sciences would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, research methodologies, and resources is essential.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Dedicated and detail-oriented, with a passion for providing top-quality services to library users.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
