Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Sustainable Land Management Specialist to join our team in Upper Austria. As a Sustainable Land Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in identifying and implementing sustainable agricultural practices that ensure long-term productivity and environmental well-being.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for sustainable land management, focusing on maximum productivity, soil conservation, and optimal resource utilization.
Advise farmers and local communities on best practices in soil conservation, water management, and biodiversity preservation.
Conduct assessments and analyze land use patterns to identify areas for improvement or intervention.
Collaborate with research teams to stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in sustainable agriculture.
Design and lead training programs for farmers on sustainable land management techniques.
Implement monitoring systems to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of land management practices.
Participate in policy development and promote sustainable agriculture initiatives at local and regional levels.

Requirements:

Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Management, or related field.
Proven experience in sustainable land management practices, with a focus on agriculture and rural development.
Strong knowledge of soil science, water management, and biodiversity conservation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess land use patterns and recommend suitable interventions.
Ability to communicate effectively and engage with farmers, local communities, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated passion for sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.
Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
