We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Sustainable Development Engineer to join our team at Tsitsikamma National Park. Job Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the implementation of eco-friendly construction projects within the park
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and environmental experts to integrate sustainable design principles into all development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, and drive continuous improvement in sustainable development practices
- Conduct thorough research on innovative construction technologies and materials to support eco-friendly building processes
- Manage and communicate with stakeholders, ensuring a harmonious balance between conservation efforts and development needs
- Provide technical guidance on sustainable infrastructure projects and contribute to the park's long-term environmental preservation goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in sustainable construction and real estate development
- Strong knowledge of eco-friendly building materials, sustainable design principles, and renewable energy systems
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Passion for environmental conservation and a deep understanding of sustainable development practices
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and a commitment to promoting green initiatives
