Position: Heritage Outreach Coordinator
Location: Nakuru, Kenya
Overview:
- Work closely with local communities and stakeholders to create engaging outreach programs that highlight the significance of cultural heritage
- Organize and supervise educational initiatives, workshops, and events that aim to raise awareness about the rich cultural history of Nakuru and its surrounding areas
- Collaborate with schools, NGOs, and governmental bodies to develop interactive exhibits and activities that promote heritage preservation and appreciation
- Drive initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting traditional crafts, music, and storytelling
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, History, Cultural Studies, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, event coordination, or educational outreach
- Passionate about preserving cultural heritage and fostering community involvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative programs
- Proficiency in English and Swahili
