Join our team at the Town of Cary, a recognized leader in environmental stewardship and community service. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Environmental Stewardship Coordinator to join our efforts in maintaining and enhancing the sustainability of our beautiful town.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and community engagement. As an Environmental Stewardship Coordinator, you will play a critical role in advancing our town’s efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, engage in environmentally-friendly practices, and spearhead community outreach programs.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sustainable initiatives to minimize our environmental impact
Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to promote environmental awareness and activism
Organize and oversee community events focused on environmental education and outreach
Advocate for policies and practices that promote environmental sustainability within the community
Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improved environmental practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
Experience in project management and community engagement
Demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for making a positive impact on the community
