Position Available: Community Engagement Specialist

RIPEC is seeking a passionate and driven Community Engagement Specialist to help us connect with and serve the diverse communities within Rhode Island. As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering relationships, promoting understanding, and facilitating collaboration between RIPEC and various local community groups and businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse community groups and businesses
Foster relationships with local organizations and stakeholders
Collaborate with team members to create and execute community-focused initiatives
Facilitate communication between RIPEC and the diverse communities we serve
Contribute to the development of culturally sensitive and inclusive programs and initiatives
Represent RIPEC at community events and meetings
Evaluate and report on the impact of community engagement efforts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, public relations, or related field
Demonstrated experience in community outreach, relationship building, or similar roles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Understanding of and respect for different cultural backgrounds and perspectives
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
