Job Description: We are in search of a vibrant and dedicated individual to join our esteemed KZN Blind and Deaf Society Community Choir as a Wellness Facilitator. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing wellness programs aimed at boosting the physical and mental well-being of our members through engaging activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of our community
- Conduct fitness and wellness sessions focusing on strength, endurance, flexibility, and overall physical health improvement
- Coordinate outdoor activities, sports, and recreational events to promote a healthy lifestyle
- Educate and guide choir members on nutrition, mindfulness, and holistic wellness practices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of all participants
- Maintain a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation from all members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in delivering wellness or fitness programs, preferably within a community setting
- Passion for promoting holistic well-being and a healthy lifestyle among individuals with diverse abilities
- Ability to adapt fitness routines to accommodate varying levels of physical and sensory abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to motivate and inspire others
- Certification in fitness instruction, personal training, or a related field is highly advantageous
