We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology in Saxony, Germany. As an Advanced Materials Engineer, you will work in an innovative and dynamic environment that focuses on innovation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. Responsibilities:

Developing advanced materials for high-performance applications, leveraging electron beam and plasma technology
Conducting research and development to enhance the performance and environmental sustainability of materials used in consumer goods
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced materials into various product lines
Contributing to the design and implementation of materials testing procedures to ensure quality and performance
Staying updated on industry advancements and trends for materials engineering and sustainability

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in materials engineering, including a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly materials
Strong understanding of electron beam and plasma technology, with a focus on their applications in material development
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Fluency in English (German language skills are a plus)
