The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for the role of Community Outreach Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the lives of veterans and their families. As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters a sense of camaraderie and unity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to support veterans
- Organize and execute outreach events to connect with veterans and their families
- Provide information about available services and resources to veterans in need
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of outreach efforts
- Contribute to the development of outreach strategies and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in community engagement, outreach, or similar roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Passion for serving and supporting veterans and their families
