We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join the Seattle Aquarium team as a Marine Exploration Specialist. Our organization is dedicated to discovering, preserving, and showcasing the wonders of marine life, and we are seeking an individual who shares our passion for scientific inquiry and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of marine ecosystems, with a focus on understanding the impact of human activities and climate change
Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative strategies for marine conservation and sustainable ocean use
Implement and oversee initiatives aimed at promoting public awareness and engagement in marine science and conservation efforts
Create and deliver engaging educational programs and presentations for visitors of all ages
Participate in field expeditions and underwater exploration to gather data and insights for ongoing projects

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience in conducting ecological or environmental research, preferably with a focus on oceanic systems
Demonstrated passion for marine conservation and a strong understanding of current issues impacting marine environments
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Diver certification and experience with scientific diving is a plus
