Cultural Heritage Protection Specialist
MOHAI is devoted to preserving and showcasing the rich history of the Pacific Northwest. As a part of our commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cultural Heritage Protection Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the security and preservation of historical artifacts and exhibits related to the historical military presence in the Pacific Northwest.
- Collaborate with local community organizations and government agencies to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats to the preservation of historical military and security-related artifacts.
- Act as a liaison with military and security-focused agencies to promote the responsible preservation and display of historical artifacts.
- Participate in the planning and execution of educational programs focused on the military and security history of the region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in History, Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage Preservation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in cultural heritage protection, with a focus on military or security-related history preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Passion for promoting awareness of cultural heritage and its significance in the community.
