Cultural Heritage Protection Specialist

MOHAI is devoted to preserving and showcasing the rich history of the Pacific Northwest. As a part of our commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cultural Heritage Protection Specialist.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to ensure the security and preservation of historical artifacts and exhibits related to the historical military presence in the Pacific Northwest.
Collaborate with local community organizations and government agencies to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats to the preservation of historical military and security-related artifacts.
Act as a liaison with military and security-focused agencies to promote the responsible preservation and display of historical artifacts.
Participate in the planning and execution of educational programs focused on the military and security history of the region.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in History, Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage Preservation, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in cultural heritage protection, with a focus on military or security-related history preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Passion for promoting awareness of cultural heritage and its significance in the community.
