BlueLinx Holdings is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Environmental Sustainability Advocate at our Georgia location. As a leader in the building materials industry, we are committed to prioritizing environmental consciousness and sustainability in all aspects of our operations. The Environmental Sustainability Advocate will play a crucial role in furthering our commitment to responsible business practices and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact within our supply chain and operations.
- Evaluate and recommend sustainable practices for our manufacturing and distribution processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote and integrate eco-friendly initiatives and products into our business model.
- Engage with community organizations and regulatory bodies on environmental best practices and compliance.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing environmental sustainability programs.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Passionate about environmental conservation and driving positive change within a corporate setting.
