Position: Aviation Engagement Specialist

Location: Brussels-Capital Region

About the Role:

As an Aviation Engagement Specialist at UNICEF Belgium, you will have the opportunity to spearhead innovative aviation-based initiatives that directly support our global humanitarian efforts. You will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships within the aviation industry, leveraging resources, and developing pioneering solutions to address pressing challenges faced by children and communities around the world. Your contributions will directly impact the accessibility and delivery of vital supplies, medical aid, and emergency response efforts, ultimately saving lives and building a brighter future for those in need.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of aviation-related programs and projects in collaboration with key stakeholders
Establish and nurture strong relationships with government entities, international organizations, and private sector partners within the aviation industry
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the realm of aviation technology and logistics
Provide expert guidance and recommendations on aviation best practices, regulations, and safety protocols to optimize UNICEF's operations
Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable, eco-friendly aviation strategies that align with UNICEF's commitment to environmental responsibility

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, international relations) or equivalent practical experience
Proven track record of at least 5 years in project management or partnership development within the aviation or related industries
Demonstrated understanding of international aviation regulations, logistics, and supply chain management
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels
Passion for humanitarian work and a deep commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children globally
Fluency in English and French; proficiency in other languages is a plus
