We are seeking a creative and driven individual to join our team at Pier 21 National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, Canada. As a Sustainability Innovator, you will play a critical role in identifying and implementing environmentally-friendly practices, reducing energy consumption, and promoting sustainable initiatives throughout our organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategies to minimize our environmental impact
Research and recommend renewable energy solutions
Evaluate and optimize waste management processes
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability into everyday operations
Stay informed about industry best practices and innovative technologies
Educate and engage staff and visitors in sustainable practices
Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Demonstrated experience in implementing sustainable practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Passion for environmental preservation and energy efficiency
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards
