About Us
The North Carolina Pork Council Women is dedicated to promoting education and awareness about the pork industry while advocating for the people involved in its production. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Education and Training Coordinator to join our team.
Position Overview
As the Community Education and Training Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing educational programs related to pork production, animal welfare, and environmental stewardship. You will collaborate with industry professionals, educators, and community leaders to ensure that our training initiatives meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate educational workshops, seminars, and outreach events.
- Develop educational materials tailored to diverse audiences, including students, producers, and consumers.
- Coordinate training sessions for pork industry professionals to enhance their skill sets and practices.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, organizations, and community groups.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and continuously improve their impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. agricultural education, animal science, environmental studies).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in curriculum development and adult education.
- Passion for promoting sustainable agricultural practices and fostering positive community relationships.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation.
