We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team at Appenzell Ausserrhoden Cantonal Bank in the role of Animal Care and Welfare Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the welfare and happiness of animals within our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative animal care programs to enhance the well-being of our community's beloved companions.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and veterinary professionals to provide education on responsible pet ownership and welfare.
  • Utilize advanced technological solutions to monitor and improve animal welfare practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable initiatives related to animal care and welfare.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness of animal welfare issues and facilitate adoption events for shelter animals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or Biology.
  • Demonstrated experience in animal care and welfare, with a strong understanding of best practices and ethical considerations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technological advancements, such as data analysis tools and monitoring systems, to enhance animal welfare efforts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and community members.
