Sea Turtle Conservancy, based in the beautiful coastal region of North Carolina, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Flight Operations Manager. As an integral part of our conservation efforts, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection of marine life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage aerial surveillance operations to monitor and protect sea turtle habitats
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure efficient data collection and analysis
- Develop and implement flight operation plans in adherence to wildlife protection regulations
- Supervise and lead a team of aviation professionals, ensuring safety and compliance
- Conduct regular inspections of aircraft and equipment to maintain airworthiness and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- FAA Commercial Pilot License preferred
- Proven experience in flight operations management or related role
- Strong understanding of environmental conservation and wildlife protection
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
