We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team at the Rogaland Department of Social Services in Norway. As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization operates within the legal framework and adheres to all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Developing and implementing compliance programs to mitigate risk and maintain adherence to regulations
- Collaborating with internal teams to provide guidance on legal matters and compliance issues
- Monitoring changes in laws and regulations and advising on necessary adjustments to policies and practices
- Preparing and delivering training sessions to educate staff on compliance-related matters
- Investigating and addressing any compliance violations or concerns
- Participating in audits and inspections to assess compliance levels
- Keeping abreast of industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the public sector or social services
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English languages
