About the Role

As a Community Engagement Specialist with MHDC, you will be at the forefront of building bridges among various communities. Your role will involve developing and implementing engagement strategies to ensure that our housing development plans align with the diverse needs of Missouri's residents. You'll have the chance to work closely with community leaders, local organizations, and advocacy groups to facilitate dialogue and understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Research local community demographics, needs, and preferences
Develop and execute outreach programs that directly engage with diverse populations
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate community feedback into housing development initiatives
Evaluate the effectiveness of engagement efforts and adjust strategies as necessary
Organize and host community events to foster connections and gather input

Requirements

A passion for community building and inclusivity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong research and analytical abilities
Experience in project management or community outreach is a plus
Commitment to understanding the needs of diverse populations
